Board Member Spotlight: Alisa Valudes Whyte
News, Clinic News

Alisa Valudes Whyte first became involved with Neighborhood Health approximately a decade ago, when she volunteered her expertise to support the organization’s branding efforts. As Neighborhood Health grew, Alisa helped ensure that its identity reflected its expanding reach throughout Northern Virginia.
That initial project developed into a lasting connection. Alisa remained involved and later joined Neighborhood Health’s Board of Directors, where she continues to support a mission she deeply values.
“It is incredible what the organization has been able to do and how many patients it has been able to serve,” Alisa said. “It provides such an important safety net and service to the community.”
Alisa is especially inspired by Neighborhood Health’s care for immigrant communities and people without health insurance. She believes that when people learn about the breadth of services Neighborhood Health provides and the difference this care makes for local families, they want to become part of the mission.
Her own journey reflects that experience. What began as an opportunity to contribute her time and talents grew into years of service and a deep commitment to Neighborhood Health’s patients.
We are grateful to Alisa for her leadership, generosity, and dedication to ensuring that our neighbors can receive high-quality healthcare, regardless of their insurance status, background, or ability to pay.
