Celebrating National Health Center Week
News, Uncategorized
This week, Neighborhood Health proudly joins community health centers across the country in celebrating National Health Center Week, an annual event recognizing the vital role Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) play in improving the health and well-being of communities.
For more than 25 years, Neighborhood Health has been committed to providing accessible, high-quality healthcare to everyone—regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. Each year, we care for more than 40,000 patients across Northern Virginia, offering comprehensive services including primary care, pediatrics, prenatal care, dental care, behavioral health, pharmacy services, and care coordination.
National Health Center Week is an opportunity to celebrate the dedicated providers, nurses, medical assistants, interpreters, care coordinators, and support staff who make our mission possible every day. It is also a time to recognize the patients, partners, volunteers, and supporters who help us build healthier families and stronger communities.
This year’s celebration is especially meaningful as Neighborhood Health has been recognized with multiple 2026 HRSA National Quality Awards, including National Quality Leader recognition for Cancer Screening and Heart Health and a Silver Quality Award, placing us among the top 20% of health centers nationwide. We are especially proud to be the only Federally Qualified Health Center in Virginia—and one of just 65 nationwide—to receive the National Quality Leader award for Cancer Screening.
As we celebrate National Health Center Week, we remain committed to our mission of ensuring that everyone in our community has access to compassionate, patient-centered healthcare. Together, we are building healthier communities—one patient, one family, and one neighborhood at a time.
